At The Little Wax Pantry, our wax melts are assessed and labelled in accordance with the applicable UK CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) Regulations, based on the formulation and classification of each finished product.

We currently only sell our products within Great Britain. Product-specific safety information, including applicable hazard and precautionary statements, is provided on the product packaging.

General Wax Melt Safety

Please read the safety information supplied with your wax melts before use.

Before use

Remove all packaging before placing wax in your warmer.
Use wax melts only in a suitable wax warmer designed for this purpose.
Place the warmer on a stable, level and heat-resistant surface.
Keep away from children, pets, draughts and anything that could catch fire.

During use

Never leave a lit tealight or heated wax warmer unattended.
If using a tealight warmer, use a suitable unscented tealight and follow the warmer manufacturer's instructions.
Keep the warmer away from flammable materials, curtains and other heat-sensitive items.
Do not move a warmer while the wax is melted or while a tealight is lit.
Do not add water, fragrance oil or any other substance to molten wax.
Do not allow melted wax to come into contact with skin.
Stop using the product if the warmer, container or wax shows signs of damage or overheating.

After use

Allow the wax and warmer to cool completely before handling.
Never attempt to remove hot or molten wax.
Do not pour molten wax down sinks or drains.
Once completely cool, dispose of used wax in accordance with your local household waste guidance.
Allow the warmer to cool fully before cleaning or changing the wax.

Storing Wax Melts

Store unused wax melts:

In their original packaging or a suitable closed container.
In a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
Away from children and pets.
Away from food, medicines and other items that could be mistaken for something intended for consumption.

Wax melts can soften in warm conditions. This does not necessarily mean the product has been damaged, but care should be taken when handling softened wax.

Wax Melts & Pets

Wax melts are fragranced products and are not intended for consumption.

Pets can respond differently to fragrances, so take care when using home fragrance around animals:

Keep wax melts and warmers securely out of reach.
Use fragrance in moderation and ensure the room is adequately ventilated.
Never allow a pet access to melted wax or a hot wax warmer.
Pay attention to your pet's behaviour when introducing fragrance into a room.
If your pet appears uncomfortable or unwell, stop using the fragrance and move them to a well-ventilated, fragrance-free area.
Contact your vet if you have concerns about your pet's reaction or if they have swallowed wax or come into contact with hot wax.
